Budget 2012 delivers $9.7 million to support major sporting and entertainment events including the V8 Supercars, AFL matches and BASSINTHEGRASS.

Work at the Palmerston Water Park will enter an important new phase with gnarly upgrades to the existing skate park.
To ensure the safety of the public the popular facility will be closed for three weeks from Monday 16 April 2012 to Friday 4 May 2012.

The Territory Government has commenced building a water park in Palmerston which is expected to be completed by early June 2012.
The water park will be similar to $5 million Stage 2 facility at Leanyer Recreation which includes waterslides, water play areas and barbecue areas for families.Read more...
